Highlights

Summary of Major Changes and Additions
  • Support for Multiple Receiving Agencies
  • Auto-numbering Feature
  • Changes to Report Navigation
  • Integration with SSGT

3
Support for Multiple Receiving Agencies
  • Multiple receiving agencies can now be associated
with an individual exchange. This provides JIEM
with the capability of documenting broadcast-type
    exchanges where multiple receiving agencies
receive the same exchange data. Previously, JIEM
supported only point-to-point exchanges and data
shared with multiple agencies required the entry
    of multiple exchanges.

Auto-numbering
  • The auto-numbering feature establishes a new
numbering format, which is optional. This
feature can be used multiple times and resolves
the problem of trying to insert a new exchange in
    between exchanges were numbered sequentially.

Old vs. New Numbering

Changes to Report Navigation
  • Report navigation has been simplified by placing
reports within the current browser window. Now
the Back button or the added Exit button can be
used to return to the prior screen. Previously,
each report was spawned in a new window creating
clutter on the screen and requiring the user to
close each report window in order to return to
    the previous screen.

21
Changes to Report Navigation
  • There only two exceptions to this change
  • The new interface to the SSGT launches a new
window for working in the SSGT.
  • All reports that generate Excel output are
launched in a separate Excel window.

Integration with SSGT
  • The most significant enhancement to JIEM in
Version 3.4 is the addition of the integrated
interface with the Subset Schema Generation Tool
(SSGT). This will enable JIEM site databases to
be imported automatically into the SSGT by
providing a mapping capability between JIEM and
    the GJXDM.
