    for day night
  • Operations to include hand and arm signals
  • Identify inexperienced drivers prior to
    operation
  • Only the most experienced driver will drive
    vehicles on and off

  • Stay away at least 1.5 meters (5 feet) from
    overhead power

Ground Guiding
  • Use hand and arm signals.
  • Ground guides will not be on the same railcar
    as a moving
  • vehicle during guiding.
  • Dont run, walk backwards, or place yourself in
    a
  • dangerous position between two vehicles.
  • Dont walk under suspended loads.
  • Know how to ground guide ( FM 31-60 USAREUR
  • Pam 385-15 and 385-55).

Crew and Guards on Train
  • Prior to boarding, all personnel will be
    briefed on their
  • assigned duties while riding the train
  • Once on the train, no one leaves the train
    without being
  • told to get off train by the person in charge
  • No one may ride in vehicle or equipment being
    transported
  • by rail
  • Do not climb on vehicles or equipment being
    transported
  • Do not touch or approach any wires, poles or
    switches.

  • Do not throw anything out the window of the
    train.
  • Absolutely no mounting or dismounting from a
    moving train.
  • In an emergency, the train commander will
    contact the train
  • coordinator aboard the train. He will render all
    possible
  • assistance.
  • No intoxicating beverages will be purchased,
    consumed or
  • carried on the train.
