The physical agility course utilized by the
Conway Police Department consists of seven (7)
individual elements or stations.

Each station attempts to fairly recreate or
simulate a physical activity that a police
officer can reasonably expect to perform in the
line of duty.

The stations are described as follows

Station 1
The applicant will be seated in a patrol
vehicle with his or her seatbelt fastened and
the door closed. The timing begins when the
applicant is commanded to begin. The applicant
must be able to exit the vehicle, push the
patrol vehicle fifty (50) feet, and proceed to
Station 2.

Push the patrol vehicle 50 feet.

Station 2
The applicant will run 440 yards, one (1) lap
around the track and proceed to Station 3.

Station 3
The applicant must be able to negotiate, a
seven foot barrier and proceed to Station 4.

Station 4
The applicant must climb to the top stair
of a flight of bleachers, touch the fence, then
descend the flight of bleachers (you must touch
each step on the descent and hold onto the
handrail) and proceed to Station 5.

Climb to the top step and touch the fence.

the handrail.

Station 5
The applicant must be able to renegotiate a
seven foot barrier and proceed to Station 5.

Station 6
The applicant must deliver thirty (30)
strikes, using a training baton, to a dummy in
the approved areas of the body (arms and legs)
and proceed to Station 7.

Strike the dummy 30 strikes.

Station 7
The applicant will drag a 150 pound dummy
thirty (30) feet. The test concludes when the
entire dummy is across the line.

Drag the dummy 30 feet.

The agility test is a Pass/Fail test that must
be completed in 4 minutes and 30 seconds or less.

Failure to complete the test within the 4
minute and 30 second time limit disqualifies the
candidate from further consideration in this
years testing process.
