2Getting Started Log into Blackboard
- Go to http//www.shu.edu
- Click on myWEB_at_shu

3Click on the My Content link on the Blackboard
log in page

6Name your folder First-Semester Writing
Portfolio, then click Submit. Leave all other
options on this screen as the default.
Double click on your folder to add your files
7Click on Item to add a file
Click Browse to locate the file on your
computer.
8Highlight file that you want to add. You will be
adding two essays and their first drafts, along
with your self-assessment.
Click Open
9Click Submit to finish uploading file
Do not change any of the other options that
appear on this screen leave the default
settings checked.
10You must repeat the Add Item steps until all
documents required for this portfolio are
uploaded to your My Content space, that is, the
English 1201 essays, the first drafts, and your
self-assessment. You wont add the English 1202
essay until next semester.
11Now that your documents have been added to your
My Content space, it is now time to create your
portfolio.
12To manage your portfolios (view, create new, or
view existing), click on the My Portfolio link
13To create a new portfolio, click on the
Portfolio button
14Title your portfolio First-Semester Writing
Portfolio
Click Submit
Do not change any of the other options that
appear on this screen leave the default
settings checked.

16Click on Content to access the files in your
My Content
Type the name of the link
Click Browse it will take you to My Content
17Select the folder.
Click Submit

Click OK
You have now completed the portfolio creation
process.
20Sharing Your Portfolio
- This section will focus on how to share your
portfolio with your instructor, with the
assessment coordinator (and for 0160 classes,
with the other instructor who will score you
portfolio). - It is important that you follow each step
carefully since the options that are available
can sometime be a little confusing!
21Click Manage
Click Share Portfolio and chose Share with
External User
22Type jonesedm_at_shu.edu, your professors email
address (and for 0160 classes, your professors
scoring partners email address).
It is VERY important that you select YES
23Find the email you just created in your web mail
account. Locate the link within the email
message to your portfolio. Copy this link by
highlighting it and holding down the ctrl and
C keys on your keyboard at the same time or
clicking Edit then Copy from the menu on the
top of your screen.
24Go to this link to submit your Portfolio for
review http//tltc.shu.edu80/servlets/asset.Asse
tSurvey?surveyid1807
Login to the survey
25Copy and Paste your Portfolio link here you
should also have a copy in your email if you need
it
Enter your campus wide ID here (NOT your SS)
