    Design (LEED)
  • Green Building Rating System is a voluntary,
    consensus-based national rating system for
    developing high-performance, sustainable
buildings. LEED addresses all building types and
    emphasizes state-of-the-art strategies in five
    areas
  • sustainable site development
  • water savings
  • energy efficiency
  • materials and resources selection
  • indoor environmental quality

    the rating system.
  • Having a LEED certification also provides an
easily understandable and recognizable way to
    compare green buildings worldwide.

Benefits of Green Building Design
  • Environmental
  • Reduce the impact on the planets natural
    resources

  • Improve bottom line energy savings
  • Qualify for tax rebates, zoning allowances and
    other incentives

skills to successfully steward the LEED
    certification process. LEED Accredited
Professionals (LEED APs) have demonstrated a

Product Manufacturers LEED
  • USGBC does not certify, endorse or promote
products, services, or companies, nor do we
track, list or report data related to products
and their environmental qualities. LEED is a
certification system that deals with the
environmental performance of buildings based on
overall characteristics of the project. We do not
award credits based on the use of particular
products but rather upon meeting the performance
standards set forth in our rating systems. -
