  • These are the 5 duties that all Muslims are
    required to carry out

The First Pillar
  • Believe in ONE God- Allah
  • Believe that Muhammad is Allahs prophet

  • Pray 5 times a day towards Mecca

  • Give to the needy and the poor (almsgiving)

  • Fast during the month of Ramadan

  • Take a pilgrimage to Mecca
  • Called the HAJJ!!

  • A set of rules and guidelines that instructs
    Muslims on how to treat others, as well as how to
    conduct themselves in business and governmental
    affairs.

    information about the beliefs of Islam on both
    the front and the back

  • You must give your placemat a title that appears
    on both the front and the back (along with your
    name)
  • The front of your placemat must have information
    about the following
  • Who founded Islam (Just write out who it was)
  • Where Islam was founded (Just write out where)
  • The Five Pillars of Islam (Name and explain each
    of the five pillars)
  • The Sunnah (Write a paragraph about the Sunnah)
  • The Shariah (Write a paragraph about the Shariah)
