2Mentor-Protégé Program Information
- Program Objective Designed for Mentors to
provide beneficial developmental assistance to
Protégés to enhance their capabilities to perform
as viable prime and sub-contractor suppliers or
service providers to MDA, other Federal and
commercial contracts - To Qualify as a Mentor
- Must be other than a small business (unless
waived) and have an active contract and
performing under a sub-contracting plan with MDA
pursuant to FAR 19.702 and be eligible for the
award of Federal contracts - or
- A graduated 8 (a) firm with ability to serve as a
mentor - To Qualify as a Protégé Must either be a SDB,
SDVOSB, VOB, HUBZone, or WOSB and eligible for
award of a Federal contract

- Program Structure
- Mentor Firms and Protégé Firms are solely
responsible for selecting their counterpart. - Protégé Firms May Have Only One Active DoD
Mentor-Protégé Agreement. -
- There are Two Types of Agreements

- Credit Agreements (managed by DCMA)
