14What is better than taking a course?
- 1. To work on it by yourself
- In Assignment 1, student will be given a chance
to build up their own webpage - Final year students can take this chance to make
it a nice one and introduce oneself to the
potential employer / business partner - To make it a fair assignment (regardless of prior
computing background), the assignment will
consider some other factor such as effort,
interface and reasonable content)
15What is better than taking a course?
- 2. To try to learn by yourself
- New software/hardware are invented everyday and
its simply not possible to take a course for
each of them. - In assignment 2 (group), students will be given a
chance to research on a particular type of
application programs of interest. - Students will have chance to work (and learn)
with classmates and present the finding in the
form of report and presentation (week 11-13)
16Quiz and Exam
- Midterm quiz will be scheduled to about week 9
- In about week 13, revision questions will be
given to students in order to summarize what
weve learnt in this semester and also to get
familiarized to the format of exam.
