Title: Cabin

The map shows the 18 plots, each identified
with a two letter and one digit code. The code
indicates the treatment for each block
u-unburned b-burned n-no thinning c-caspo
thinning from below (understory) s-shelterwood
(overstory) For each treatment combination,
plots are numbered 1-3 starting from the
south. Plots outlined in brown have 49 internal
grid points (25 m ground distance spacing with a
25 m buffer) for intensive spatial sampling.
The blue outlined plots have 9 grid points (50
m spacing with a 50 m buffer). Plot boundaries
are marked by blue flagging and a piece of rebar
at each corner. Grid points are marked with
white and red flagging around a metal rod driven
into the soil.

built for accessing the upper plots. Light
dashed grids are the Cartesian coordinates
established throughout Teakettle marked with
pink pin flags Numbers in 12 of the plots are
unit numbers used by the Forest Service sales
administrators.
