  • We are making great progress in introducing the
    Next-Generation Business Class to our
  • fleet of 58 B767-300 Aircraft

New Personal Entertainment Devices Business
Class 767-300s
  • Beginning March, 15 2007, AA began installing new
    personal video and audio entertainment devices
    for the Business Class cabins on B767-300
    International Flagship Service flights
  • Each aircraft will be equipped with portable
    entertainment devices that feature
  • A 10.6 inch monitor with Bose QuietComfort 3
    Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones
  • Up to 14 featured films
  • 15 hours of pre-loaded television and news
    programs
  • 50 music CDs and 10-15 music videos
  • 14 American Airlines branded audio channels,
    headline news stories and a variety of games

  • We will also begin introducing the
    Next-Generation Business Class to our fleet of 47
    B777 Aircraft

    that all 777s will be outfitted with AAs
    Flagship Suite
  • In addition, we will also install two additional

AA Upgrades Transcontinental Aircraft
  • Fifteen (15) B767-200 aircraft in our fleet
  • Aircraft operates primarily on transcontinental
    routes
  • LAX-JFK (12 daily flights the most of any
    airline!)
  • SFO-JFK (5 daily flights)
  • Upgrades include First and Business Class Seat
    Enhancements
  • Fully motorized seats in the First Class Cabin
  • Offering great seat flexibility
  • Updated interior throughout the aircraft
  • A lighter and brighter look including new
    upholstery, carpeting and lighter basket-weave
    sidewalls
  • New audio and video on-demand personal
    entertainment devices in First and Business Class
  • Additional First Class seat
  • Increasing the number of First Class Seats from 9
    to 10 on each aircraft
  • Enhancements will be introduced in Summer 2007.

AA Upgrades Boeing 757 Fleet
  • American announced plans to make upgrades to its
    entire fleet of 124 Boeing 757s over the next two
    years. The enhancements will include the
    installation of two additional First Class seats
    increasing the number of First Class seats from
    22 to 24, the installation of new Economy seats,
    new cabin interiors and updated in-flight
    entertainment systems throughout the aircraft.
  • Other modifications include
  • New Economy cabin seats
  • New sidewalls to give the interior a lighter and
    brighter look
  • New LCD monitors, which replace CRT monitors, to
    enhance in-flight entertainment viewing
  • New digital media file servers for better
    in-flight video and audio entertainment quality.

Acceleration of B737-800 Aircraft Delivery
  • American Airlines will begin pulling forward
    deliveries of B737-800 aircraft to replace a
    portion of its MD-80 fleet.
  • Three of the 47 B737-800 aircraft will take
    delivery in early 2009
  • The 737 consumes 25 percent less fuel per
    available seat mile than an MD-80.
  • Will lower operational costs
  • Boost the fuel efficiency
  • Bolster efforts to lower emissions and noise
    levels.
  • American will continue to accelerate the delivery
    of the other aircraft with delivery schedules
    into the 2009-2012 timeframe.

New Location for Park Avenue at
Heathrow Effective April 2007
  • While London Heathrow undergoes renovation
    between June 2006 November 2007, our Park
    Avenue Terminal 3 check-in facility will move to
    a temporary location
  • The new location is towards the end of lanes 5
    and 6, in front of the short term car park at
    Heathrow Terminal 3
  • This temporary facility will be fully operational
    until the new facility is completed in November
    2007
