Event Goals

• Our ultimate goal is to raise money for the Royal
  Flying Doctors Service
• Five 1920s Model T Fords making the journey from
  Toodyay to Melbourne

Description

• On Sunday September 7th 2008
• 5 Model Ts will depart from Toodyay together
  with 2 support vehicles
• The journey will cover approximately 3400kms with
  less than 400km being covered each day
• Average car speed is 40km per hour
• There will be overnight stops at various
  locations
• Each car will carry two drivers
• The cars will be built and prepared by Toodyay
  Classic Cars

Sponsorship

• Level 1 Donations, sponsorship and direct help
  in the running costs of the event e.g. fuel and
  food
• Level 2 Direct sponsorship and donations to the
  fund raising side of the event

Sponsorship Level 1

• All participants will be voluntary
• Entrants who do not have an active role in
  organisation or running of the event will be
  required to cover own costs.
• Appropriate organisations and businesses to be
  contacted for major sponsorship i.e. Ford
  Australia, BP, IGA, Bendigo Bank
• We anticipate attracting a large media interest
  in the event and the vehicles can carry
  advertising boards etc to promote businesses
  across Australia
• We hope to meet up with as many Lions Clubs as
  possible en route who will be asked to support us
  by way of hosting entrants and providing meals
  where possible

Sponsorship Level 2

• All 1,276 Lions Clubs across Australia will be
  approached for a donation (if 50 give 50 this
  would equal 31,900)
• Various fund raising activities to be held prior
  to event (i.e raffles, street stall, car boot
  sales, auction)
• Competitions will run based on the event such as
  Guess the running hours of the vehicles from
  start to finish
• Fundraising will be conducted throughout the
  event
• Already on Board

• Undertake fundraising activities
• Drivers to undergo training in T Models

• Confirmation of Sponsorships donations ensuring
  minimum level has been achieved
• If level achieved confirm event WILL proceed
• If level NOT achieved advise all participants
  event will not proceed.
• Please Note All funds raised will be donated to
  the Royal Flying Doctors Service regardless of
  outcome
