  each day.

  crossed by several busy downtown intersections,
  many small business are located adjacent to the
  light rail / trolley system.

• The client had expressed concern for the safety
  of vehicles and pedestrians, because of the
  failure of the original material to form a flat
  transition between the steel rail and the
  surrounding pavement surface.

  surrounding pavement surface had become
  dangerous, unsightly and structurally unsound.

• The logistics of the project required careful
  planning as the repairs could only be done during
  the close down periods between 12.30 pm and 5.30
  am.

• After the completion of the first phase, the
  client awarded a second phase to the installer to
  repair both sides of the steel rails in several
  city blocks downtown.

imported product has to date been specified by
consulting engineers to insulate the gap between
the the steel rail / rubber rail boot and the
surrounding pavement. The Deery Rail- Flex range
of repair Mastics will insulate the steel from
the surrounding pavement, the product is shear
and impact resistant. Deery will be glad to
accommodate the engineers testing requirements to
meet existing specifications.
