ELIMINATION OF COMPENSATION PROGRAM

• Effective July 15, 2009, there will be no
  payments for off-contract staff development.
• The payments for 2008-09 were in access of 2.7
  million or potentially equivalent of the
  elimination of 50 teaching positions.
• CFISD is one of very few districts in the country
  that paid employees for PD some even charge for
  PD

What if a class started prior to July 15 but
ended after?

• ORIGINAL PDC (For Compensation) CLASS
• July 13, 14, 15 16
• May be used with approval for CTE
• CHANGE to 2 CLASSES
• Two classes-both PDC
• July 13 14Compensation Paid
• July 15 16No Payment
• Both may be used, with approval, for CTE
