2Our background
A SOLID FOUNDATION
- The Academies Enterprise Trust (AET) was formed
in January 2008 as the legal entity charged with
opening three Academies in Essex. The sponsor for
these Academies is the Greensward Charitable
Trust and the AET was set up as the operations
arm of that trust. - The AET learning model is founded on the success
of Greensward College, which had been judged by
Ofsted as outstanding for over 12 years.

nationally at 10) - AET central services provide support for HR, IT,
Finance, Facilities and Communications in
addition to services to improve teaching and
learning. - AET central services recharges are less than 4
of budget ensuring that each Academy has around
1 million more each year to spend on teaching
and learning. -
