Time and location

• The working group propose Mexico (October 2006)
  to be most appropriate, because
• Representative of Mexico is familiar with ICRI
  and ITMEMS
• past ITMEMS were held in Pacific and Asia
• it will enable a better link with ICRS (2008) in
  Florida
• at least one and half year is required for
  preparation
• some ICRI General Meetings were 10-11 month
  intervals in the past.

Response to the letters from Mexico

• The working group proposes that the ICRI
  Secretariat writes an official letter to welcome
  the Mexico hosting ITMEMS3.
• The draft letter will be written by Ad Hoc
  Committee.

The ad hoc Committee(Program Committee and Site
Organising Committee)

• The working group proposes Richard Kenchington to
  chair the Programme Committee.
• The working group will also propose Robert Cudney
  to chair the Site Organizing Committee.
• The working group invites ICRI members to join
  the committees

Terms of Reference of Program Committee

• Program Committee will
• - Identify case studies/presenters
• - Seek possible donors and funding for the
  meeting and participants
• - Develop and implement the individual ITMEMS3
  workshops
• - Work with the organising committee to develop
  and implement general overall program of ITMEMS3
  (including opening session speakers and plenary
  programme)

Terms of Reference of Site Organizing Committee

• Site Organizing Committee will be composed of
  both international and local host country
  representatives to
• - Develop and implement general overall program
  of ITMEMS3 (including opening session speakers
  and plenary programme)
• - Secure suitable venue, equipment and facilities
• - Organise participant accommodation, symposium
  breaks, meals, transport logistics, field trips
  and formal events

• ICRI members are requested to agree
• To hold ITMEMS3 in Mexico on October 2006
• The ICRI Secretariat to write an official letter
  to Mexico to invite hosting ITMEMS3 (Robert
  Cudney will prepare draft)
• To establish Programme Committee chaired by
  Richard Kenchington
• To establish organizing Committee chaired by
  Robert Cudny
• The Programme Committee and Organizing Committee
  to submit a proposal, which includes, time,
  location, venue, programme, budget, etc. at the
  next General Meeting.
