Technician Proxy Option

• Effective April 11, 2005
• Direct observation and verification of proper CSS
  installation skills by a certified instructor is
  preferred but is not always reasonable or
  feasible
• Voluntary option for instructors to have a
  qualified technician act as eyes and ears
• Seat Checks approved by instructor online
• Careful documentation required!
• Use with great discretion

• Any previously certified technician may take this
  course one time
• 51 recommended student to instructor ratio
• Instructor supplies Instructor guide and CD
• 70 Student fee includes
• Student guide
• Online (recertification) exam
• Re-test available for 20 (re-certification
  retake)
• 2 year certification

Usernames and Passwords

• Every previously certified (AAA or NSK) CPS
  technician has a username and password.
• Username format kchausmer12345
• Contact CPS customer service for your username or
  password if you dont have it.
• To take a Renewal Course, everyone must log in
  using that original username and password, not as
  a new contact (user?)
• Username format 123456

Cant attend the course?

• Substitution policy
• Transfer payment and registration from one
  student to another
• Use the online system
• Registered student must have SK ID of substitute
  student (be in system)
• Public or controlled courses
• Approval transferred to substituting individual
• Once a substitute is registered, they cannot
  request a refund for any reason.

• May reschedule online to any future public course
• No penalty
• No limit to number of times one can reschedule.

• You will be notified by e-mail that your
  reservation was either approved or denied.
• Check updates under VIEW COURSE REGISTRATION
  HISTORY.
• If approved, you must submit payment within 10
  days of notification or by midnight of the first
  day of the course, whichever is earlier, to
  complete the registration process. Your approval
  may be extended by the course administrator or
  lead instructor.
• Registrations for controlled courses are not
  complete until registration and payment is
  received.

• It is NOT possible to register after this date.
• Failure to do so may prevent the student from
  being eligible for certification.
• If an individual cancels or reschedules his or
