Program Requirements
  • Academic Progress
  • Dismissed from program if two grades of C or
    one grade of F. (Provisional students are
    dismissed for one grade lower than a B in a
    specified course).
  • A grade of C or F in a clinical placement
    leads to dismissal.
  • Must maintain 3.0 average to move into a clinical
    placement and graduate.
  • See the graduate catalogue for appeal procedures.
  • Personal Progress (Professional Assessment Review
    - PAR)
  • Concern form two areas indicated from one or
    more faculty member move into remediation.
  • Concern form from clinical placement will keep
    student from continuing in program move into
    remediation.
  • Periodic student review by faculty serious
    concerns by 3 faculty may lead to remediation or
    program removal.

  • Each student will keep a journal analyzing each
    days counseling activities.

Requirement Correspondence File
  • Each student will maintain a file or portfolio of
    all correspondence, reports, records, test
    scores, and any other pertinent papers connected
    with the clinical experiences.

Requirement Video Tapes
  • Each student will make videotape recordings of
    counseling sessions. Each tape must be
    accompanied by a typed report.

  • Each student will attend a scheduled seminar for
    group supervision average of 1 ½ hours per week

  • Each student will be periodically
    visited/observed by the college supervisor
