• Carlisle Tire Wheel bias ply and radial
  tires, steel and specialty wheels
• Carlisle Power Transmission industrial power
  transmission belt and pulley products

• Sales increase attributed to commercial power
  equipment and lawn care, ATV, and replacement
  supply chains
• Trintex acquisition of June 2004 accounted for
  approximately one-third of sales growth over
  prior year
• Earnings at Trintex offset by unfavorable product
  mix, unabsorbed overhead and increased
  warehousing and freight costs

• Increased sales of 40 driven by a combination of
  strong demand across most product lines and
  higher pricing to offset increases in raw
  material costs
• First quarter 2005 EBIT of 14.6 million
  significantly higher than 2004, primarily due to
  the increases in sales volume and favorable
  product mix
• Carlisle recorded a pre-tax loss of 4.2 million
  related to the Companys European roofing joint
  venture, Icopal, compared to a 4.1 million loss
  recorded for the first quarter 2004

Transportation Products

• Trail King Industries standard and custom-built
  trailers
• Walker Transportation tank trailers for food,
  dairy and chemical applications

• Improvement in net sales was the result of higher
  shipments of large construction trailers,
  pneumatic bulk tanks and construction live-bottom
  trailers
• Strong demand, favorable product mix, selling
  price increases and improved absorption of fixed
  overhead costs are reflected in EBIT improvement

Specialty Products

• Carlisle Motion Control - heavy-duty friction and
  braking products for Class 6, 7 and 8 trucks
• Carlisle Industrial Brake Friction - braking
  systems for off-highway and industrial equipment

• Net sales improvement of 18 the result of higher
  sales of braking systems for off-highway and
  industrial equipment, as well as increased demand
  for on-highway heavy friction and relined brake
  shoes
• First quarter 2005 EBIT improvement of 63
  primarily the result of improved demand, selling
  price increases and manufacturing efficiencies
