Research Problem and Objectives
  • The main research question addressed in this
    paper is how can the link between e-government
    and development be made more effective?
  • The aim is to explore the status of e-government
    implementation in Mozambique and suggest possible
    ways of improvements.

Conceptual Framework -Good Governance and
Development
  • We see good governance principles being a major
    building block for development (UNDP 1997).
    Therefore evaluating some principles of good
    governance is a way to explore if development is
    being met through e-government.
  • It enhances the capability of the government to
    be more transparent, accountable and responsive
    it improves the relationship between the
    government and the public, business and other
    governments it makes the government more
    efficient improve the quality of decision
    making, among other benefits.
