  • 25 NUP minimum per processor for Enterprise
    Edition Database
  • 10 NUP minimum per proc for Enterprise Edition
    Fusion Middleware or Standard Edition Database
  • 5 NUP minimum per proc for SE1 Fusion Middleware
    or Database
  • Processor
  • Used in environments where users cannot be easily
    identified and counted.
  • OR when it is more cost effective than the
    Named User Plus Metric
  • For example, Im using a 4 processor box to
    support an application that has 400 users. In
    this case, even though I know there are 400
    users, it would be cheaper to buy 4 processors of
    Oracle instead of 400 Named User Plus.

  • This just in. Mulitcore Chips
  • Servers that utilize dual-core processors are now
    priced at 75 of the list processor or Named User
    price.
  • Therefore list price per processor is 30k for EE
    or 600/NUP
  • Exception For Standard Edition One and Standard
    Edition programs, on servers with a maximum of 1
    processor with 1 or 2 cores, only 1 processor
    shall be counted. The named user plus minimums
    are unchanged.
