- Balaban is the largest Special Protection Area
(SPA). Each SPA provides specific protection of
cultural landscapes and rare flora and fauna.
New building of structures and roads is
prohibited in most cases. - In addition, the SPA also specifies requirements
for the management of the cultural landscape.
