Eligibility

• Every student must have a 2.00 GPA
• Every student must attend a min. of 4 class
  periods
• to participate in practice and contests
• Students must pass a minimum of 20 units
• Before a student can participate in a sport,
• he/she must have a receive athletic clearance
• -Academic Probation

Conduct of Student Athletes

• Athletic Participation is a Privilege
• This privilege can be revoked, suspended
• Behavior
• Attendance, Tardiness
• Possession or Use of
• Tobacco, Alcohol, Drugs, Steroids
• Privilege Responsibility

Productive Communication

• It is imperative that parents respect the
  position of the coach and direct any concerns to
  the coach first.

• Player to Coach Discussion (Student Empowerment)
• Player, Coach, Parent Discussion
• Parent, Coach, Athletic Director Discussion
• Contact Assistant Principal in Charge of
  Athletics
• Non-Discussion Items Playing Time, Strategies,

• If you intend to participate in Division I
• or Division II athletics you must be registered
• with and be certified as eligible by the NCAA

Tryout Policy and Procedures

• All students must submit all forms
• Optional Participation Contribution
• 250.00 non officiated sports
• 300.00 officiated sports
• This optional contribution helps fund the
  following officials, athletic trainers,
  security, games supervision, first aid supplies,
  league, section dues, facility improvements,
  general athletic budget needs
• Club Fee- Each sport has a club fee that provides
• consumable products for the student athletes-
• i.e. sweat pants, sweat shirt, practice gear,
  banquet
