their jersey (the Dodgers), not the name on the
back (their individual surnames). The
satisfaction of team accomplishments were much
greater than the individual ones in his mind.

• Are responsible for broad corporate strategy,
  policy and objectives
• Direct and lead actions of many people
• Pinpoint individual executives to make the
  critical decisions

• Exercise personal judgment in assessing risks,
  resources and strategic options
• Make assignments based on formal structure

How to Increase Team Performance Potential

• Utilize a leadership discipline that produces
  most performance
• Shift modes to tap potential for teams
• ID collective works and match skills and
  leadership capacity
• Leadership groups should ID most important team
  opportunities
• Leaders must provide forums to create common
  understanding
