Selecting clips

• Drag individually to timeline
• Select more than one at a time
• Click outside the clip and drag to create a box
  around the clips you want

• Zoom in

Clipping and Splitting

• Pause clip where you want to split. The blue
  line will be where the clip splits

Look for this symbol by the viewing window too!

Trimming and Deleting

• Select a clip Hit Delete
• When a clip is selected, a white box will appear
  around it
• Double red arrow at the edge of a clip will trim
  (aka delete the end)

Moving clips

• The mouse will turn to a hand. Click and drag to
  move the clip.

Adding Effects and Transitions
Adds an effect to the clip. Ex fade it,
rotate, slow motion

Finishing the movie

• If you save and close, you are only saving the
  movie as a MovieMaker file
• You need to save it as a video file

Click Browse and find YOUR folder

• Continue hitting Next until it begins the
  finishing process

FINAL STEP

• Find the video file in YOUR folder
• Copy the file
• Paste into the public folder
• \\serverm\public\7th grade 06-07\7th Grade
  Language Arts\Videos
