• Simple Instruction on using Windows Movie Maker

Importing Pictures

• Movie maker allow users to import pictures or
  videos from any device such as flash drives,
  memory cards, cd, dvd, video cameras, and digital
  video cameras.
• Lets create a picture movie
• Click on Import Pictures under the Capture Video
  section
• Select the pictures that will be need in the
  project
• To select more than one picture hold down the
  Ctrl and select pictures with the mouse

Adding Pictures to the Timeline

• Select the picture that will be the title for
  this project
• Moving the mouse on the desire picture
• Drad and drop the picture on the timeline below.

Copying or Deleting Pictures

• To copy or delete pictures that will not be use
  in the project from the timeline
• Select the picture
• Hit the delete button on the keyboard
• OR
• Right click on the mouse
• On the submenu select delete

Edit Movie

• After insert all the pictures that will be needed
  for the project it is time to add special affects
  to it.
• Under the Edit Movie section
• Video Effects (video effects will add spice to
  the video project by creating cool effects to
  smooth the pictures or a creative that will keep
  the viewers entertain).
• Always preview each effect before selecting
• Select an effect to use
• Press play under the screen
• OR
• Right click on the mouse and press play

Edit Movie

• Remember to always save the projects while you
  are working on them. Another effect under the
  Edit Movie is Video Transitions. (Video
  transition is similar to video effect however the
  transition effect is between the picture or
  videos clips.)
• Make Title or Credits Just like at the beginning
  and end of movies and television shows there are
  titles and credits. Title can be use to introduce
  an event or something related with the movie.
  Credits is use to give details about the person
  producing the project, music, or maybe
  information about the pictures.

Editing the Credits

• Before clicking Done we might want to make some
  changes to the title or credits page.
• Under More Options we have Change Title Animation
  and Change Text and Color. (The default setting
  for title animation is strolling up but you are
  free to change it).
• Changing the text and color allows user to change
  the font of the text and background color of the
  title and credits clip.

Length of Pictures

• Adding video and music is perform the same way as
  adding pictures.
• (Optional) To make the movie longer, stretch out
  important pictures, or making the picture match
  the length of the music clip go to Show Timeline.
  This will allow you to increase the length of the
  video.
• Select the picture that you would like to extend
  with the mouse
• Left click on the mouse to drag the length to a
  desire spot.

Importing Audio or Music

• Capture Video
• Import Audio or Music
• Import File
• Import
• Drag and drop imported clip to Audio/Music (under
  Video on the Show Timeline)
• This now completes Windows Movie Maker
