Ontario Special Olympics
- Ontario Special Olympics is part of a worldwide
charitable organization dedicated to promoting a
more active and better quality of life through
sport for people who have a mental disability. - Special Olympic athletes gain self confidence and
transfer their success from the playing field to
become more active citizens in society. Ontario
Special Olympics athletes train and compete at
community and regional events and every two years
have the opportunity to be selected to advance to
Province-level competition. They also have the
opportunity to advance to National and
International competition every four years. - Let me win! But if I cannot win, let me be brave
in the attempt.
- The Canadian Progress Club was founded in 1922 in
Toronto and now has over 40 chapters across
Canada. - CPC Toronto Trillium was chartered in June 1998
and our members are women who live or work in
Toronto and have a desire to meet new friends,
develop personal skills, network and donate their
time to fundraising and community service
efforts. - Toronto Trillium provides support to the Red Door
Shelter through clothing and food drives, and to
the Ontario Special Olympics through fundraising
and volunteering at games. We raise funds through
a womens golf tournament and a Bowl-a-thon.
