Conclusions
Several balloon flights of remote payloads
collocated with ODIN overpasses have been
performed in France and Sweden The ODIN O3
measurements are found consistent with that of
the balloons as well as the POAM instrument also
in orbit within 5-10 between 10 and 30
km Since NO2 displays a diurnal variation, the
comparison is focused during the balloon ascent
in the late afternoon at the time of the
overpasses of ODIN (between 17 and 18h UT)
OSIRIS / LPMA/ SAOZ are consistent within 5

Future work A photochemical model (Reprobus
1D) will be used for a better estimate of the
ODIN performance regarding NO2 Comparisons with
SAOZ flights performed since summer 2002 is under
