URSCP Current Status

• Line item for URSCP support is 120,000
• 100 undergraduates engaged in scholarship
• 125 proposals submitted 03 05
• 32 students funded in 03 04
• 68 students funded in 04 05

URSCP Assistant

• Assist faculty member
• With intent to learn about scholarship
• Stipend not to exceed 700 (max. 100 hours of
  work)
• Another 300 available for expenses
• Begin by talking with a member of the faculty

• Faculty mentor endorsement
• Project budget
• Statement of the proposed project (2 pages
  maximum, excluding figures and tables)
• Time schedule
• Application checklist

URSCP Scholar

• Collaborating with member of faculty
• With intent to have ownership or take lead role
  in project
• Stipend not to exceed 3,150 (max. 350 hours of
  work)
• Additional money available to cover costs of
  project
• Begin with a well-focused idea and one or more
  faculty mentor(s)
