About Make Space

• Make Space is a dynamic campaign supported by the
  Nestlé Trust in partnership with 4Children.
• The campaign objective is to support the
  development of a network of contemporary clubs
  for young people aged 11-16 across England.
• Working with local clubs, schools, local
  authorities and national organisations, we listen
  to young people and work towards meeting their
  needs.

In Kingswood

• To find the right activity for the club we
  researched into the activities already taking
  space in Kingswood. We found that there were many
  uniformed based activities but no musical or
  chill out activities around the area.

We also conducted a survey of local kids to find
out the type of activity they want in their
area. The graph opposite shows the most wanted
activity in Kingswood a musical activity.

Make Space Kingswood

• The make space club in Kingswood will be
  offering a range of relaxing and interesting
  activities as well as our main activity music for
  kids aged 11-16.
• In order to pay and care for the resources
  required for the club we would ask that all
  members pay a fixed fee each time they come to
  club. This is currently 4 an afternoon or
  morning. The clubs full list of opening times
  can be seen below

Musical Activities

• Our main activity offered at Make Space
  Kingswood, is our Musical Activity. We offer
  various opportunities for everyone involving many
  types and genres of music.
• No matter your ability to sing/play music, you
  can learn or help in our activities.

We are very lucky here at Make Space Kingswood,
as we have our own recording studio, filled to
the brim with Musical Equipment and
Software. This equipment is available for free
use all the time and our helpful staff will be
there to help and teach you.

Other Activities

• As well as offering Musical Activities, our staff
  will be running some small activities on the side
  for people that don't want to always be in our
  music rooms.
• We have provided a chill-out space where our
  young people can relax, meet their friends and
  enjoy their leisure time in comfortable
  surroundings. They can listen to music, play
  games or just hang around with their mates plus
  we have our own tuck shop.

Battle Of The BandsTo start the club off in
style we are launching a Battle of the Band
competition. We are opening the competition to
any style or genre. You could be a full on rock
band or a pop duet. The winner gets to be the
clubs Official Band and will get help designing
and making their own album. The winning Band will
also be entered into the National Make Space
Competition.
