Students
- School of Nursing wanted to supplement on-campus
courses with Web-based courses and Increase
student enrollment including the RN enrollment - Review of the Literature showed student retention
in Web-based courses is higher if students felt
comfortable using technology

- There was no existing University resources to
update nursing students distance learning
skills - Results of a student needs survey showed lack of
computer and web-based skills.

- Of almost 300 students, over 91.6 report
satisfaction in gaining confidence in their
ability to become successful users of distance
learning technologies. - And 80.5 reported improvement in their knowledge
and ability to use the computer and Internet.
