Interesting Facts
  • Discovered by Pluto has a satellite, Charon.
Charon was discovered in 1978 by Jim Christy.
  • was found by an fortunate accident by Clyde W
Tombaugh trying to find Planet X.
  • Not only does Charon rotate synchronously, but
Pluto does too. So while traveling through the
universe, the face the same sides.
  • Pluto is smaller than seven of the solar systems
    moons!
  • Pluto is named after the Roman God of the
    underworld, Hades.
  • Pluto is the only planet that has not been
visited by an spacecraft. Some people think of
Pluto as an large asteroid or comet rather than a
    planet.

Why You Should go to Pluto
You should go to Pluto because of its unique
features. Pluto is 50 75 rock mixed with ices.
Methane and traces of carbon monoxide are also
present. This will help provide the best skiing
adventure for you and your family! From Plutos
surface, the sun appears as only a very bright
star. So no need to bring sun block! Pluto has a
satellite, Charon. Some prefer to think of
Pluto/Charon as a double planet rather than a
planet and a moon. Pluto has a 249 year orbit.
Its surface is believed to reach temperatures as
low as 240 degrees. So remember to bring your
ski gear and warm clothes. Because Pluto and
Charons orbits are aligned, an eclipse can be
seen every Pluto day.

Where is Pluto?
Pluto and Charon, ground-based view (left) and
HST view (right).
Pluto is usually the farthest planet from the
sun. Pluto is 5,914,520,000 km from the sun, and
depending on its orbit around 4.4 billion km
from earth. Pluto and Charon are 19,640 km apart.
Usually,in an normal spacecraft, it would take
you 6-8 years from Earth to Pluto. When Pluto is
past its perihelion, the atmosphere freezes and
falls to the surface. When it nears its
perihelion it becomes a gas and thats guests
arrive. There will be many ice and snow sports
available. For 1,000 extra, you can also explore
Charon. Plutos only known satellite for a day!
It will only take an hour to get there thanks to
our spacecrafts.

Recreational Activities
Pluto has an amazing number of exiting
activities which will ensure that you and your
family will never be bored. Since Pluto is
nothing but ice and rock, we have a number of
winter activities which we are sure youll enjoy.
Ice Skating- make sure you bring your skates,
so you may participate in our skating
competitions, located on ice fields all over our
planet. Skiing/Snowboarding- Pluto has over
1,000 ski resorts which will cater to all your
winter needs. We also have parks complete with
jumps and half pipes

Recreational Activites Cont'd
Mountain Climbing- Pluto contains some of the
best mountains in our galaxy, and we offer
programs for all levels of skills. Space Jumps-
A new activity exclusive to Pluto. Our
spacecrafts will transport you in the atmosphere
where you will jump out in an non-gravity space
suit. Art Fairs- Art Fairs are held once an year
in February. It will feature ice, rock and snow
representations of Pluto and its inhabitants.

Communication
For those who wish to be in contact with their
home world, we have state of the art systems of
radio astronomy for use at the charge of 60 Pluto
dollars a minute. (There are currency exchange
booths throughout Pluto that will exchange your
home world currency.) We have approximately 100
satellites throughout Pluto, which are all
connected to our main satellite near Charon. This
satellite transmits you voice to all major
planets satellites in the solar system, which in
turn are sent to your family/friends personal
satellite. For an extra charge, you may send
images. It will take approximately 10 seconds to
establish the connection.

Day Trips
We offer an unique tour to Plutos only known
moon, Charon. It will occur during 8 oclock am
(Pluto time) to 6 oclock p.m.. We will explore
all the characteristics and views of Charon and
Pluto too. Well also provide information about
the stars and galaxies around Pluto. In our
spacebus, we will orbit Charon once, in the
morning, then land on Charon and eat an exclusive
lunch in the Charon Restaurant. In the afternoon,
we will explore Charon on foot, or if you
request, we can provide an motorbike design for
100 extra dollars (Pluto money). We will discover
Charons unique suprises! An Information pamphlet
will also be available for those who are
interested.
This Pluto and USA comparison shows how small
Pluto and Charon really are.

Historic Museum!
Pluto doesnt really have that much history. It
was discovered in February 18th, 1930 by Clyde W.
Tombaugh. The planet was discovered by an
fortunate accident, Tombaugh was trying to find
Planet X, but found Pluto instead. Charon was
discovered in 1978 just before its orbital plane
moved edge-on toward the inner solar system. The
Pluto was thought to be larger because the planet
and its moons images were blurred together.
Some still prefer to think of Pluto and Charon as
a double planet rather than a moon. Pluto was
named after the Roman God of the Underworld,
Hades, because of its coldness. Charon was named
after the mythological figure who ferried the
dead across the River Acheron into the
underworld. Pluto was thought to be wandering
individually in space, then was captured by the
sun.
