Take out only what is needed.
When you need it.
5Locate clay
Cut into fourths
With the plastic knife
6Roll 3 pieces into worms
7Use the eraser end of a pencil.
Push the 3 worms, one at a time, into the nose
cone.
8Check the fit of the Nose Cone Insert
9Put a thin bead of glue on the contact part of
the insert
Twist insert into cone
Wipe off extra glue that squishes out
10Parallel to side of tube
Perpendicular to side of tube
11Locate the rocket tubeand marking guide
12Place guide on tubePARALLEL to tube sides
13Make 1/8 cutPERPENDICULARto tube at both marks
14Insert the Engine Hook
15Position fin unit
Flat edge goes to the back
Beveled or slant edge goes to the front
Engine hook lines up with Engine hook slot

17Apply thin bead of gluearound tubejust below
hook insert
18Slide fin unit down until flat part of fin unit
is at the end of the tube
Make sure hook is in hook slot
19Place shock cord near front end of tube
20Use a toothpick to push the shock cord into the
cut.
BE CAREFUL Keep the cut small!
21Keep pushing the shock cord into the tube until
only 1 inch remains
22Locate the shock cord anchor ring
Beveled or slant edge is front or top
Larger part is shock cord anchor ring
Smaller part is upper launch lug
Flat edge is bottom or back of ring
23Place loose end of shock cord through the anchor
ring. Go from back to front.
Bevel
24Slide shock cord anchor ringonto upper rocket
tube.
Align shock cord slot with shock cord
25An equal amount of cord should be above and below
the ring.
Test fit the anchor ring over the shock cord.
26Check to make sure launch lugs are lined up
properly.
27Add a bead of glue just below the shock cord cut.
28Bring the shock cord anchor ring back to the
proper position.
Leave extra glue on tube.
29 Tie the loose end of the shock cord to the nose
cone.
Make the knot secure.Leave as much loose cord as
possible
30 Place one end of streamer under cord between
rocket and cone.
Place one square of tape over the cord onto the
streamer.
31Roll up streamer
32Push streamer into rocket. Insert nose cone into
tube.
33Check for launch lug alignment
34Add decals
35Put name on small piece of tape.Place on your
rocket.
36You are ready for launch!
