Anti-Bullying Program at Hancock Place Middle
School!
  • Say NO and put a stop to Bullying!

2
Vision Statement
  • Our vision is to eliminate bullying from Hancock
Place Middle School. We want our students to feel
safe and excited to learn at Hancock Place Middle
    School.

3
The Three Rs
  • Rules- Parents and school staff must demonstrate
that they are in charge and wont tolerate any
    student hurting another student, either
    physically or psychologically.
  • Rights- Every student has the right not to be
hurt and the right to learn in a safe
    environment.
  • Responsibilities- Educators must be responsible
for better supervision, more observant monitoring
and action. By eliminating fear from the lives of
students, teachers are able to do their jobs more
effectively. Also, students must be responsible
for respecting the rights of their classmates and
themselves. Students whom are victims or
bystanders must be brave and report bullying
situations. Bullies need to accept that they have
a problem and accept help in overcoming this
    problem.

    school
  • Bully Free Zone posters are displayed around the
    school
  • 2 bully bulletin boards are displayed in the
    hallways
  • Communication to parents, staff, students and
board about updates and stats, by the use of our
    school newsletter
  • Educate students during short discussions at
    lunches

    bullying

The Direction at HPMS!
  • Bystanders, the estimated 85 of students in
school who are not actively involved in the
bullying dynamic, have the most potential for
solving this very serious problem. And yet, this
silent majority of students is the most ignored
and underused resource in our schools. One study
shows that 43 of the students try to help the
victim, 33 feel that they should help but dont,
and the last 24 believe bullying is none of
    their business. Missouri NEA
  • At HPMS, we need our BYSTANDERS to get more
involved in eliminating bullying at HPMS. We
outnumber both bullies and victims, so get
involved in reporting bullies. Someday it may be
you or someone you love being bullied. It is our
duty in making our school a safe learning
    environment for our children.

We Need You On Our Team to be get rid of bullying
at HPMS!
  • Our goals can only be accomplished with everyone
on board and consistent in eliminating bullying
from HPMS. No one should have to worry about
being bullied at their school. It is our job to
eliminate bullying for the sake of our childrens
futures. We need to help the victims and bullies!
