Corporate Misconduct is Harmful

• The EPA estimates that 80 of all hazardous waste
  is disposed of illegally, and approximately
  140,000 people die annually from air pollution
  that is produced in violation of government
  regulations.
• Approximately 14,000 workers are killed on the
  job every year, many as a result of violations of
  health and safety standards.
• 100,000 workers die annually from
  occupationally-contracted diseases that result of
  violations of health and safety codes.
• The FBI estimates that the annual cost of
  burglary and robbery combined is 4 billion. By
  contrast, by a conservative estimate, corporate
  misconduct costs the nation approximately 200
  billion annually.
