Flow Chart of Procedures Regarding Alleged
Research Misconduct
Report of Alleged Research Misconduct to the Vice
President for Research
Initial Review by the Vice President for
Research for validity of the Complaint
If the complaint is determined to be valid, an
Inquiry Committee will be appointed (from the
University Research Committee senior faculty)
to determine if a full investigation is
warranted. A report of the committees findings
is forwarded to the Vice President for Research.
After review of the committees report, the Vice
President for Research determines if a full
Investigatory Committee will be appointed (from
the University Research Committee and senior
faculty). If warranted, an investigation is
completed and a committee report is presented to
the Vice President for Research who makes a final
determination on the allegation.
