  • Meter number

ESI ID (22 digits) 10089010xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Ce
nterPoint - First 8 digits are always
10089010 Next 14 digits are unique. ESI ID
can be found on the CenterPoint Energy electric
bill.
6
Address verification Meter
  • Meter number must include manufacturer and 8
    digit serial number.
  • A - Asea, Brown, Boveri
  • D - Duncan
  • G - General Electric
  • L - Landis Gyr
  • S - Sangamo

Database Changes - Duplication Check
  • Due to address verification and duplication
check, the ability to split homes or complexes is
    gone

8
New Step Customer Approval Request
9
Submit Customers for Approval(also duplication
check is performed)
10
SF approval vs. MF approval
  • Single Family, Small Commercial and Mobile Homes
    - automatic approval
  • Valid ESI ID or Meter and
  • Customer Approval Request is sent via database
  • Multi-family requires program manager approval
and 10 days for pre-assessment inspection.
  • An email notice is sent to project sponsor when
customer is approved by program administrator.

11
Add Installation
12
Add Installation
Must have customer approval prior to submitting
the installation. Only approved customers show
up on this list with the measures that have been
approved.

be available from the Downloads page at
  • http//www.centerpointressop.com

24
Implementation Changes
  • Deal directly with sponsor
  • Must use company name on all literature and
    during contact
  • Identification of approved sub contractor, must
be on vehicle, uniforms and ID

25
Implementation Changes
  • Use of CenterPoint Energy name
  • From SOP Agreement
  • The Contractor shall not use CenterPoint Energy
Inc.s corporate name, trademark, trade name,
logo, identity or any affiliation for any reason,
including to solicit customers for participation
    in its project, .
  • Acceptable wording for EESP marketing materials
  • Utility rebates
  • Utility-sponsored
  • Your local electric utility
  • Houstons electric distribution utility
  • Your electric distribution utility

26
Implementation Changes
  • Sponsor participation list

27
Implementation Changes
  • Provide invoice by 10th
  • Final invoice due by November 30, 2005
  • Milestone date set for June 30, 2005
  • Will take a more aggressive approach in
    monitoring project sponsors success toward
    achieving installation milestones
  • Result in reduction of incentive reservations of
Project Sponsors who fail to reach installation
    milestones

28
Implementation Changes
  • Income Eligibility Form
  • No typed amounts
  • Customer to complete
  • Multi-family pre-approval
  • If project is a multi-family property of five or
more dwelling units, the Project Sponsor must
submit the proposed project to CNP for
pre-approval. CNP will require up to ten days to
approve project. No installations can occur
    before CNP provides its approval.
  • CNP may conduct an on-site inspection of the
property during this period to verify the
    applicability of proposed measures.

29
Implementation Changes
  • Multi-family pre-approval will require typical to
    be preformed
  • Provide schedule for single-family sites

30
Implementation Changes
  • No do overs
  • If measure fails, will not be allowed to fix
  • Not allowed to go back to failed site

31
Duct Efficiency
  • Treated Duct Location
  • Measure installation standards state that All
treated sites must have a majority of the treated
ducts and returns located in an unconditioned
    space.
  • CNP will inspect for, and enforce this
    requirement more stringently in 2005.

32
Duct Efficiency
  • Post-Installation CFM Readings
  • CNPs post-installation CFM readings must be
within 10 of project sponsor-reported value.
  • Inspection failure for above will result in 100
    reduction for that installation.
  • Failure rates exceeding 15 for three months may
result in exclusion of this measure from the list
    of project sponsors measures.

33
Ceiling Insulation
  • Labeling and Installation of Home Insulation
    (R-Value Rule) 16 CFR 460
  • The card or certificate must be affixed near the
attic opening and should state the
  • coverage area
  • thickness
  • R-value of the insulation you installed
  • number of bags used
  • The receipt must be dated and signed by the
    installer.

34
Ceiling Insulation
  • In previous years, project sponsors would provide
their estimate of the existing R-value of ceiling
insulation. The resulting estimates of existing
attic R-value varied widely. In 2005 project
sponsors will input into the database the
    following information
  • insulation type
  • thickness
  • general condition
  • The existing R-value is derived from these
    inputs.

35
Implementation Changes
  • Square footage measurements. Applies to savings
    calculations for duct efficiency, air
    infiltration, and ceiling insulation.
  • If difference between CNP post-installation
inspection and project sponsor-reported value is
greater than 10 / 100 SF, CNP reserves the right
    to fail the home.
  • Systematic or persistent errors in calculating
square footage can result in prohibiting a
project sponsor from including these measures in
    future installation reports.
