Christ has a passion for rebuilding lives.
  • Healthy people dont need a doctor--sick people
do. I have come to call sinners to turn from
their sins, not to spend my time with those who
think they are already good enough. Luke 531

II. Trust God to be in control 220
23
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
  • Lean on the fact that He is in control.

24
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
  • See the problem as an opportunity for God to work

We also rejoice in our suffering because we know
that suffering produces perseverance,
perseverance character, and character hope.
Romans 53-4
25
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
Our reaction to a problem is always determined
by how we see the problem. If we look at a
problem and see it as just disaster then our
reaction is despair. If we look at a problem and
see it as unnecessary then our reaction is
irritation.
26
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
If we look at a problem and see it as unfair our
reaction is anger.
27
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
If we look at a problem and see it as deserved
our reaction is guilt.
28
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
But if we look at a problem and we see that
problem as an opportunity for God to work then
our reaction is faith. And action.
29
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
If you have faith and believe that God can work
even in the midst of difficulties then you see
Him at work, Him giving you peace like nothing
else can, like no one else can. (Tom Holladay)
30
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
God can do anything, you know. Far more than we
can ever imagine or guess or request in your
wildest dreams. He does it not by pushing us
around but by working within us. Ephesians 320
31
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
We all live life on one of two levels
32
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
We all live life on one of two levels What I
can do.
33
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
We all live life on one of two levels What I
can do. What God can do.
34
II. Trust God to be in Control 220
  • But if you see that the job is too big for you,
that its something only God can do, and you
trust Him to do it--you could never do it for
yourself no matter how hard and long you
worked--well, that trusting Him to do it is what
gets you set right with God, by God. Its a sheer
    gift. Romans 45

Take a Step of Faith to Clear the Rubble in Your
Life 21-6
  • I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small
as a mustard seed you can say to this mountain,
move from here to there and it will move. Nothing
will be impossible for you. Matthew 1720
