- ASPECTS OF THE YES DRC FM RADIO BROADCASTING
SHOWS - We host broadcasting shows around three kind
aspects - of entrepreneurship skills on the FM Radio
Station - Entrepreneurship Education that provides an
introduction to the values and basics of creating
and running businesses through debates,
interviews, etc. The program is called the Youth
Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) aiming at guiding
youth through the simulations of business
start-up and operation. - Enterprise Development where we discuss
opportunities that provide support and services
that incubate and help youth develop their own
businesses. The discussions and debates are
oriented towards how youth can have access - to small loans or grants. YES Fund is the best
concrete model needed for youth ventures that we
discuss a lot. - Entrepreneurship through Action Learning (EAL)
that appeals for actions through invitations of
local programmes and sponsors to attend the show
in order to discuss the new opportunities to
create new ventures and expand existing ones.

- COMPONENTS OF THE YES DRC FM RADIO BROADCASTING
SHOWS - Debates and discussion oriented to Financial
Intelligence The specific - objective is to help youth know that in todays
complex financial world, - being financially literate is a critical life
skill... as important as - reading, writing and arithmetic. We teach how to
obtain financial freedom, - whilst gaining an understanding of money, as a
facilitator of life - money - answers all things.
- The dimension of
- Knowledge and understanding is about the nature
and forms of money, how it is used and the
consequences of consumer decisions - Competence is the application of consumer and
financial knowledge and skills in a range of
changing contexts - Enterprise is the opportunity to use initiative,
build financial capabilities and manage
risk-taking when making consumer and financial
decisions - Responsibility is appropriate consumer and
financial decisions that display care for self,
others, the community and the environment. - Business Ethics - whatever direction their
calling takes them, whether it is in the heart of
business and professional world, or into areas
such as teaching, entertaining or sports, or
indeed others still, we want our fellows to
understand the basics of business so that they
can grow into effective business people during
their school lives and after.

- The specific objective is to stimulate to
mentoring and - volunteering. We show them how the mentoring
practice draws - on the interest and enthusiasm of people in
different spheres - of life who volunteer their time and energy to be
involved in - the lives of the Congolese young entrepreneurs.

to become - mentors for other younger people in their
communities, so - they too can benefit by focusing their attention
upon helping - and watching another person learn to cope and to
grow.

- REINVEST (looking forward, giving back)
- The ultimate purpose of business is not, or
should not be, - simply to make money. Nor is it merely a system
of making - and selling things. The promise of business is to
increase - the general well-being of humankind through
service, a - creative invention and Ethical philosophy. -
Paul Hawken, The Ecology - Of Commerce
- While they are mastering skills and gaining
competencies - that help them to develop their own lives, we
encourage our - fellows to grow in their outward concern for
others and - passion for social causes so that they can share
their - success and invest and reinvest themselves in the
Community - throughout their lives. These entrepreneurs
understand that - they have a social responsibility to improve
their - communities while making profits, and rather than
focus - solely on single bottom line profits, these
people focus - on the triple bottom line profits, people and
planet.
