  • Over 100,000 ladder accidents per year
  • In 2006 there were 806 fatalities from falls
  • 16, Approx 129 from ladders

OHSA Regulations
  • Must support 4 times max intended load
  • Wood ladders must not be covered or coated
  • Must be maintained oil free
  • Must not be used on slippery surfaces
  • Must be inspected by competent person regularly

  • Must face ladder when going up/down
