• MTI is an intermodal terminal located at Port St.
  Joe, FL capable of receiving, storing, reclaiming
  and loading many dry bulk commodities such as
  coal, petcoke, aggregate, asphalt, gypsum, etc.
  The terminals direct rail and highway
  connections serve all of Florida, Alabama,
  Georgia and the eastern United States. MTIs
  location on the Eastern Gulf Intracoastal
  Waterway promotes rates competitive with any
  similar facility.

• MTI is located on the Gulf County Canal at mile
  333 East of Harvey Locks on the Gulf Intracoastal
  Waterway. Shifting and fleeting services are
  available through Townsend Marine Services.

MTI has approximately 47.5 acres with 1230 of
Canal frontage (870 of bulkhead). The bulkhead
is equipped with a barge hauling system
consisting of winches at each end of the
bulkhead. MTIs design capacity is 9,000,000
tons per year.

• Barge unloading equipment consists of two
  Sumitomo model RA-14 level luffing cranes rated
  at 1150 ton per hour each. Each crane has a 14
  cubic yard bucket and is operated independently.
  Each grab bucket transfers material to its
  hopper/feeder system (54 belt). From the
  hopper/feeder systems material goes to a
  conveying system (60 belts) rated at 2300 to
  2500 tph. By placing an end loader into each
  barge all remaining material is efficiently
  removed.

• The conveying system moves material to a radial
  stacker for ground storage or directly to the
  railcar loading system. The radial stacker can
  travel in a 90 arc ground storage is reclaimed
  through two vibrating feeders assisted by mobile
  equipment that push material and groom
  stockpiles. The radial stockpile and adjacent
  area will accommodate in excess of 200,000 tons
  of material.

• Industrial customers benefit from the stockpiling
  of material at MTI and the reliability of
  scheduled truck deliveries. Truck loadout is
  accomplished by end loader.

• MTIs 47.5 acres allow ample room for segregation
  of various dry bulk materials. Here, aggregate is
  being received for future distribution.

• A 100-car unit train can be loaded in four hours
  through the 300 ton capacity railcar loading
  hopper. Coupled-in-motion track scales provide
  accurate unit train weights. The rail
  configuration consists of over 13,600 feet of
  track arranged in a loop and parallel sidetracks
  for car storage capacity in excess of two unit
  trains.

• The conveyor system, storage operation and
  railcar loading facility are operated and
  monitored through a computerized control panel in
  a centralized control room, regulating flow and
  volume of bulk material and assuring equal and
  even carload weights.
