- Due to items manufactured in KGPW itself, and
works under taken at the adjoining shops (Wheel,
air brake, brake blocks) and Weekly duty hours
being nearer to stipulations of Factory Act, i.e.
47 Hrs/Wk. it is possible to minimize the cost ,
Cycle time and Man hours on P.O.H. of
Locomotives. - Staff structure is justified at KGP in comparison
to works and out turn given by the staff of other
units. - Infrastructure exists for extra out turn of
Electric locos and scope of expansion in Diesel
P.O.H. at KGPWS, S.E.RAILWAY. - Re-winding of Traction Motor Coil Manufacturing
is an included Shop Activity in Diesel P.O.H.
at KGPW. - Uniform methodology in work ,working hours and
manpower is not adopted all over Indian Railways. - Repair of Transformer Re-winding of Traction
Motor is an included Shop Activity in Electric
P.O.H. at KPAW. - Sanctioned Staff is against loco/ month. Report
based on sanctioned strength only
