Introductory Physical Science
  • More lab exercises than you are used to
  • Course objective is to develop objective evidence
    for the existence of atoms
  • YOU will perform laboratory exercises that will
    provide supporting data
  • Lab notebook will contain all answers for tests
  • Tests and quizzes are open-book/open notes
  • I supply calculators you must use mine.

Grading Etc.
  • Tests and quizzes are worth 80
  • Homework grades are worth 20
  • Most homework are either prelabs, lab reports, or
    outlines of chapter sections.
  • All homework is done in the lab notebook unless
    otherwise specified.
  • Homework is due in the specified box before 8am
    on the due date.
  • Late homework gets a zero unless there are
    extenuating circumstances.

  • Change from 6-week to 9-week quarter system
  • Change from letter to numerical quarter grades
  • Each quarter grade counts 40 exam grades count
    20 of semester grade
