DJS Gang Investigation Unit
  • Investigate and examine all gang-related
    incidents within DJS facilities statewide.
  • Interview possible gang members in DJS
    facilities focus on encouraging youth to leave
    gang and help find alternatives.
  • Develop an anti-gang environment remove gang
    related names, symbols, or graffiti on books,
    papers, clothes, walls.
  • Provide gang awareness training to DJS staff.
  • Develop intervention and prevention programs for
    youth in DJS care.
