What do the students need the 1st day of school?

What can I get involved with as a parent?

• Any of the Booster Organizations
• Chaperoning dances
• Your child's activities
• Your childs peers

What do I do when my child is late, needs to
leave early, or is absent?

• If your child is absent, please call the
  attendance line as soon as possible. Hotline
  [phone]
• If you son/daughter is late or needs to leave
  early, please send them to the attendance office
  with a note and we will give them a pass to class
  or to leave at the appropriate time. They always
  sign out in the attendance office.
• If you are going on a vacation or a college
  visit, your son/daughter can pick up a
  pre-arranged absence form in the attendance
  office. The form should be filled out by all
  teachers and returned to the attendance office
  prior to the absence.

• Research tells us that regular daily attendance
  is essential for student success. We believe
  that daily attendance, timeliness to class, and
  participation will foster the probability of
  successful performance and development of
  self-discipline and responsibility.

More Information

• 5 minute passing period
• Half-hour lunch
• Bar Code for lunch money-closed campus for
  Freshman and Sophomores
• Doors in the morning open at 745
• Students deposit book bags in lockers and pick
  them up at the end of the day.

Dances

• No one over the age of 20 will be admitted to any
  dance unless they are a current Sycamore High
  School Student.
• All guests must have a signed permission slip
  prior to attending the dance.
• Guests are only allowed at Homecoming, Turnabout
  and Prom.
