Family Situation
  • Sarah lived in China with her mother and father.
  • She was an only child.
  • While driving home one night Sarah and her mother
    got into a car accident, and her mother died.
  • Her father decided to start a new life in New
    York.
  • Sarah doesnt speak good English.
  • She runs cross country, tries to fit in with her
    peers and the pressure of her new life.

  • A heredity stress for Sarah is her asthma.
  • She has always had problems with her asthma and
    has had many attacks.
  • Cross Country is a struggle for her because it
    makes her believe that she isnt strong enough to
    cope with the asthma.

    people. With different customs and language she
