- Prepare, through comprehensive planning, our
communities for the impact of growth and
transformation in the region - Provide our military families with information
about the region and North Carolina. Promote
North Carolina as a military friendly state - Improve the quality of life for the military and
our communities - Develop economic opportunities
6Task Force Objectives
- Obtain a Federal Grant from DOD/OEA and State
Grant to conduct comprehensive impact study - Create a regional network and information sharing
process through work groups, forums and e-mails - Identify growth issues and viable solutions for
local, regional, state and federal consideration - Develop a comprehensive regional growth plan
- Assess funding sources to mitigate negative
impacts - Begin work in December 2007
