- Court invalidated initial voter petitions.
- County Committee on School District Organization
incorporated petitions into its own unification
recommendation. - North Sacramento and Rio Linda districts support
the unification proposal. - Del Paso Heights, Elverta Joint, and Robla
districts support proposal only if they are
excluded from it. - Grant JUHSD opposes the proposal.
- There are now three proposals for the
reorganization of the area.

- Initiated by resolutions from governing boards of
affected districts. - Resolutions state that the collaborative proposal
is supported only if the current unification
proposal is disapproved. - Collaborative proposal is scheduled to be heard
by the Sacramento County Committee on School
District Organization in early December 2006.

15SBE Options
- The SBE must disapprove the proposal or return it
to the CDE. Proposal cannot be approved until the
CEQA process is completed. - The SBE disapproval can be based upon both or
either of the two CDE recommendations for
disapproval. - The SBE also can disapprove for other reasons.
