• CG of an object is found by
• Balancing it above your finger
• Looking at intersection of lines drawn straight
  down from suspension points

CG where there is no mass ?

• Pineapple
• Cookie
• Glass of milk
• Donut
• Apple

Toppling

• If the CG of an object is above the area of
  support no toppling
• If CG extends outside the area of support the
  object will topple over

Center of Mass

• Solar system center of mass varies as the planets
  move it is not in the exact center of the sun

• The long heavy tail of a monkey enables it to
  vary its CG
• Objects thrown in the air rotate about their CG
