Update

• Despite warm weather, the energy situation is
  still critical Nurek water still sinking, any
  problem at Nurek HEPS will have major
  consequences
• WB and UNDP have initiated processes for the
  procurement of Low Sulfur Residual Oil (Mazut)
• 14th of March the last day for bids in UNDPs
  tender process. Once a supplier has been
  selected, 14 days delivery period expected

• Low interest of suppliers due to relatively small
  funding available (1.8 mln UNDP, 1.55 mln WB)
• Preparedness for the next winter (alternative
  energy sources, fixing old heating stations in
  hospitals etc)

• Substantial lack of reliable data on morbidity
