  and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with
  compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and
  patience.

Why be Kind?

• God is kind to us
• Eph 26-7 And God raised us up with Christ and
  seated with him in the heavenly realms in Christ
  Jesus, in order that in the coming ages, he might
  show the incomparable riches of his grace
  expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

• We want people to be kind to us

  them do to you.
• Prov 1117 A kind man benefits himself, but a
  cruel man brings trouble on himself.
• Kindness softens a hard heart

  continue to be drawn to Gods character.

• Be Sensitive
• Be Supportive
• Be Sympathetic
• Be Straightforward
• Be Spontaneous

Be Sensitive

• Aware of the needs of others
• Insensitivity root of many problems
• 2 Sam 9 David Mephibosheth
• Spared Sauls descendants
• Sought them out God came to us!
• Re-assuring words (vs 7)
• Convincing actions dining, restoration of land,
  appointment of servants

Be Supportive

• Build people up with constructive words actions
• Avoids pouncing on peoples weaknesses
• Taming the tongue
• Mephibosheth crippled with a complex
• David never used it against him
• Arranged for all his needs
• Gen 5019-20 Joseph reassured and provided for
  his brothers, even after Jacob died
• Christians are kind even with given the
  opportunity to retaliate

Be Sympathetic

• Feeling people hurt
• Rom 1215 Rejoice with those who rejoice, mourn
  with those who mourn
• Being prepared to expose emotion

• Being moved with compassion
